Men’s hoops featured in NCAA preliminary regional rankings

DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team has been featured on the NCAA's preliminary regional rankings, outlining the ten programs from the region currently under consideration for the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball National Tournament.

The preliminary rankings feature the top 10 teams from each of the eight regions under consideration for upcoming NCAA national tournaments. Teams are listed in alphabetical order, and will be ranked first through tenth in next week's poll. Only eight teams from each region will be selected for the national tournament. Winners of the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Lone Star Conference Tournaments will be granted automatic bids to the national tournament.

The NCAA will provide weekly regional rankings on Wednesdays before the final selections are announced during the NCAA DII Men's Basketball Selection Show on Sunday, March 8, at 9 p.m. MST.
