Skyhawks wrap up regular season at NAU Tune Up

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Fort Lewis College indoor track teams sent a contingent of sprinters to Northern Arizona University on Friday in the team's final meet before the conference championships.

Sophomore Zachary Gaumont was the highlight of the meet for the Skyhawks, earning an NCAA Provisional standard in the 60m where he clocked an altitude converted time of 6.78 to place third. Gaumont now ranks third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference heading into championship week. He carried his excellence into the 200m where he placed second with an NCAA Provisional standard time of 21.46

The men's 200m also saw freshman Austin Sedillo compete and place 38^th with a time of 24.55. Senior Malakai Hanson represented Fort Lewis in the 800m with a 20th-place time of 1:59.63.

On the women's side, sophomore Addisyn Leeds began competition in the 60m where she clocked a time of 8.02—good for 16^th overall. She carried over into the 200m where she finished 11^th with a time of 26.66. Senior Josie Coulter competed in the 400m where she picked up a time of 59.28 to place sixth.
