Skyhawks set to challenge CSU Pueblo, Colorado Christian to cap 2025-26 regular season

2/25/2026 10:00:00 AM

DURANGO, Colo. – With a first-round home game in the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament already secured, Fort Lewis men's basketball (16-9, 14-4 RMAC) will look to build momentum heading into the postseason as they challenge Colorado State University Pueblo (19-7, 13-5 RMAC) and Colorado Christian University (12-14, 7-11 RMAC) on the road to close out the 2025-26 regular season this Thursday and Saturday.

Postseason Picture
Fort Lewis has already clinched a top-four seed and the rights to host in the quarterfinals of the upcoming conference tournament on Tuesday, Mar. 3. Currently tied with Colorado Mesa University (18-8, 14-4 RMAC), who owns the head-to-head win, both squads sit one game back from No. 14-ranked Black Hills State University (22-4, 15-3 RMAC). The Yellow Jackets and Mavericks will play one another in the season finale, so depending on results this week, the Skyhawks could vault up to the top spot with a pair of wins and help from around the league. The remainder of the field is already set, with the Skyhawks' opponent likely to change depending on results. Rounding out the field as of today are fourth-seeded CSU Pueblo, fifth-seeded Adams State University (17-9, 11-7 RMAC), sixth-seeded Colorado School of Mines (15-15, 11-8 RMAC), seventh-seeded University of Colorado Colorado Springs (15-11, 10-8 RMAC), and eighth-seeded New Mexico Highlands University (12-17, 10-8 RMAC).

Back on Track

Shooting 45 percent or better in both contests with 11 and 10 made three-pointers, respectively, Fort Lewis scored the opening bucket in both games and never trailed in either win.
