Andrews garners solo bid to NCAA West South-Central Regional

4/26/2026 5:04:00 PM

DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College redshirt junior Traejan Andrews will represent the Skyhawks men's golf team as an individual qualifier for the 2026 NCAA West South-Central Regional at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, Calif., from May 7-9, the NCAA announced Sunday evening.

Ranked No. 19 in the South-Central Region and No. 124 nationally on SCOREBOARD, Andrews earned his second individual bid to the NCAA postseason after qualifying for the postseason in 2025. This year, he has maintained a 72.61 per-round scoring average, posted 13 rounds at or under par, took fifth-place at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships with a five-under-par 175, and earned another five top 15 finishes across the campaign.

The 2026 NCAA West South-Central Regional will feature the top 10 teams from the West and South-Central regions, as well as the top four individuals from each region from institutions that did not receive a team bid. The tournament will span The Reserve at Spanos Park's 7,132-yard, par-72 links-style course designed by Andy Raugust in 1999. The course boasts a rating of 74 and a slope of 133 from the championship tees.

Andrews is the Skyhawks' lone two-time individual qualifier since Charlie Laudermilk (2009-13) led Fort Lewis to the regional as a team in 2010-11 before competing again as an individual in 2011-12. He also joined Ronald Kildall III (2021-25) and Darren Edwards (2018-22) as the only quartet of Skyhawks to reach the regional since 2010-11. Last year, at the Victoria Club, Andrews fired off a 220 (+4) to capture T-84.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 18–22 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.

A full preview will be released before the start of the regional tournament.
