DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College softball outfielders Skyler Dietz and Trista Hoobler have been recognized for their academic achievements off the diamond with a pair of nods to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Select Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 16.

The six-foot-tall lefty batted for a team-best .353 batting average, racking up 48 hits, 25 runs, and 15 runs-batted-in (RBI) while going a perfect 12-for-12 on stolen bases with a near-perfect .985 fielding percentage. Off the field, Dietz wrapped up her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a 3.92 Grade Point Average at the time of nomination.
