DURANGO, Colo. – The 2026 All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball teams were announced on Thursday afternoon, highlighted by a Second-Team utility pitcher selection for Fort Lewis College standout true freshman Izzy Cueva.

Cueva, a product of Vanden High School in Vacaville, Calif., was all over the diamond for the Skyhawks in her inaugural season as the five-foot-seven dual-action pitcher and corner infielder registered 39 starts across her 43 games played for the season, including five starts and eight appearances in the circle. She is the third All-RMAC Second-Team selection under the tutelage of third-year head coach Paige Rhodes.

As an infielder, Cueva was one of two Skyhawks to carry a +.300 batting average (AVG) for the season, posting a .314 average with 37 hits, 13 runs, and 18 runs-batted-in through 118 at-bats. In addition, she posted five doubles, one triple, one home run, 47 total bases, drew two walks, was hit by a pitch, recorded two sacrifice hits, and was one of only two Skyhawks to record a double, triple, and home run on the season, helping her to a .398 slugging percentage (SLG), .331 on-base percentage (OB), and .729 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS). She also posted eight multi-hit games, as well as two of the Skyhawks' nine total three-hit efforts, and held a career-long 11-game hitting streak from Mar. 29 to Apr. 19.

Defensively, Cueva racked up 93 putouts, 24 assists, and six errors en route to a .951 fielding percentage, while also turning four double plays and holding runners to 4-of-7 on stolen base attempts while in the circle. The right-hander boasted a 3-4 record toeing the rubber, including three straight complete-game wins to close out the season, and held an 8.14 earned run average (ERA) and 2.20 walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP). She totaled 32.2 innings pitched, surrendering 38 earned runs on 42 hits and 30 walks against 11 strikeouts. Opponents batted .311 against Cueva.
