Summary

Biography

Tobey, a 5-foot-8 guard, will have just one year remaining after spending the three years playing at the University of Nevada-Reno. Tobey played in a total of 76 games for the Wolf Pack, logging 927 minutes, tallied 185 points, pulled down 88 rebounds, dished out 53 assists and connected on 64 field goals. She recorded a career-high 12 points against Long Beach State as a sophomore and earned a letter all three seasons during her time in Reno. Nevada posted 35 wins during her career, as they progressively improved to 19 wins this past year.
 
Tobey finished her high school career at Billings West in Montana, as she also attended two other schools in two different states including Spanish Springs High School in Reno, Nev., and Blackfoot High School in Blackfoot, Idaho. She earned a multitude of honors including High Desert All-Conference and Spanish Springs Offensive Player of the Year at Spanish Springs High School, was twice named to the High Country All-Conference Team, Idaho State Journal First Team, Post Register Team, two-time team MVP, and was selected to the Bingham All-County Team as a junior and was a NABI Girls Nationals MVP while playing at Blackfoot. Tobey then finished her career as a senior at Billings West, earning Preseason All-State selection and averaging 18 points per game in taking home All-Conference and First Team All-State honors, along with serving as a team captain. In addition, she was tabbed to the Great Falls Tribune Super-State selection and placed on the All-USA Today Montana Girls Basketball First Team. Basketball wasn't her only sport as she also excelled in softball and volleyball, holding the Idaho state home run record for softball, was named the Post Register Softball Player of the Year as a sophomore and earned an All-Area First Team selection as a junior.
