Biography

Aubre Fortner played the past two years at Pima Community College and will be an incoming junior. Fortner, a 5-foot-11 forward, saw action in 32 games this past season, starting 24 for Pima, averaging 9.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and making 41 percent from the field. She reached double-figures in scoring on 16 different occasions, going for a high of 19 against Central Arizona. Fortner was strong on the glass pulling down 10 or more rebounds five different times, including a high of 12 twice against Chandler-Gilbert CC and Phoenix College. The Aztecs went 23-9 last year and advanced to the finals of the NJCAA Region I, Division II Finals #2. As a freshman, Fortner played in 36 games, averaging 3.1 points and 3.6 rebounds. She scored a season-high 10 points against Cetys (Mexico) and grabbed a high in rebounds with 12 against Glendale CC. During her senior year at Liberty High School in Henderson, Nev., Fortner averaged 5.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 0.6 assists in 29 games played.
