HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2011 … Three-year starter at tight end and linebacker for the Lancers … First team all-league honors as a junior and second team all-league awards as a senior and sophomore … All-California Interscholastic Federation San Diego Division tight end for the Lancers … Received the North County Times Athlete of the Week award twice during his career … Caught 42 passes for 665 yards and 11 touchdowns, while scoring a pair of two-point conversions during his career … On the defensive side of the ball as a linebacker, he amassed 107 solo tackles, 62 assists, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions and one fumble recovery for a touchdown … Carlsbad’s Athlete of the Year in 2011 … Also played baseball.
