Carmichael wrapped up his career as a key starter for Fort Lewis, registering 19 starts across his 26 games played... missed three games due to injuries... finished fourth among Skyhawks with 687 minutes (26.4 mins/game) on the hardwood... scored 155 points (6.0 pts/game) and hauled in 126 rebounds (4.8 rebs/game), including 36 offensive and 90 defensive rebounds... scored in double figures four times, including a season-high 12 points to go along with six rebounds, four steals, and two assists vs. Chadron State (Feb. 19)... had a performance of a lifetime against Colorado Christian (Jan. 22), scoring nine points, making one assist, and grabbing four rebounds while matching a 29-year-old RMAC record and setting a new program record with 11 steals against the Cougars – a mark that stands as the most in a single game between NCAA DI and DII, and second across all three NCAA Divisions in the 2025-26 season... his effort led to be named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week (Jan. 26) for the third time in his career... finished the campaign with 71 total steals to average 2.7 steals per game to stand at second in the RMAC and ninth in DII in steals per game as well as 15th nationally in total steals... also fourth among Skyhawks with 37 assists (1.4 asts/game)... fired off at 51.6 percent (63-122) from the field, 18.2 percent (2-11) from the three-point line, and 48.2 percent (27-56) at the free-throw line... blocked four shots and committed 34 turnovers (1.3 turnovers/game)... twice brought down a career-high nine rebounds against Adams State (Dec. 13) and Colorado School of Mines (Jan. 29)... also twice had a career-high four assists against Western New Mexico (Nov. 21) and South Dakota Mines (Feb. 21)... named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2024-25 (Junior)
RMAC Defensive Player of the Week (Feb. 3, Feb. 24)
Jumped right into the Skyhawks lineup, notching 20 starts across his 31 games played with 708 total minutes (22.8 mins/game) on the floor... was the squad's fifth-leading scorer and second-leading rebounder averaging 7.0 points (217 pts) and 4.1 rebounds (127 rebs) per game... also nabbed the fourth-most steals (50 stls), averaging 1.6 steals per game, a mark that ranked fifth in the RMAC and helped Carmichael to two RMAC Defensive Player of the Week nods on Feb. 3 and Feb. 24... went for a career-high 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting on the road in a critical win over #23/25 MSU Denver (Feb. 1)... scored in double-figures seven times... shot 51.2 percent (86-168) from the field, which ranked second among Skyhawks with 20+ attempts, 41.4 percent (12-29) from the three-point line, and 55.9 percent (33-59) at the free throw line... handed out 35 assists and blocked 19 shots.
Prior to FLC: Spent the 2023-24 season as a member of the Golden Eagles squad at the College of Southern Idaho (NJCAA DI)... played in 16 games making one start at CSI... on 9.9 minutes per game Carmichael supplied 56 points (3.5 per game) and 53 rebounds (3.3 per game) while adding 12 assists (0.8 per game), 14 steals (0.875 per game) and 14 blocks (0.875 per game)... shot clips of 52.6 percent from the floor, 66.7 percent from the three-point line with two treys on the season, and 58.3 percent at the charity stripe with 14 made free-throws... served on a mission trip before joining the Golden Eagles... played one season at Glendale Community College in 2019-20 and helped guide the program to the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Championship... played in 26 games and tallied 25 starts for the Vaqueros... totaled 300 points at GCC averaging 11.5 per game while firing off at 48.8 percent from the floor, 37.9 percent from deep, and 64.8 percent at the free-throw line... knocked down 22 three-pointers and 68 free-throws for GCC... also racked up 177 rebounds (6.8 per game), 71 assists (2.7 per game), 33 steals (1.27 per game), and 29 blocks (1.12 per game)... was named the 5A Defensive Player of the Year and to the 5A First-Team All-Region team at Ironwood High School... also tabbed the Arizona Breakout Player of the Year... averaged 14.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.7 steals, and 2.0 assists per game.
Personal: Born March 7, 2001... son of Barbie and Gerrard Carmichael... has three siblings, Cody, Colton, and Cassidy... enjoys listening to Michael Jackson, Chinese food, and hanging out with his wife... when asked what he enjoyed most about FLC, Carmichael shared, "I love the mountains and scenery that Durango provides."
