November 6, 2009. Durango, CO - The #5 Fort Lewis Women's basketball team was able to spook everyone in Tucson a week after halloween last night as they  led at half 33-31 over DI opponent University of Arizona, but unfortunately let the lead slip away to the monstrous Wildcats losing 60-75.

The Skyhawks travelled to Tucson, AZ to take on the Wildcats in an exhibition game last night. The Wildcats who's starting lineup consisted of 6'4'', 6'3'', and 6'2'' players, jumped out early to a 10 point lead. The Skyhawks finally calmed down and composed themselves outplaying the Wildcats for the majority of the first half going into halftime leading 33-31.

After some costly turnovers in the second half by the Skyhawks, the Wildcats were able to pull away and go on a 22-2 run outscoring the 'Hawks 44-27. Senior Allison Rosel led Fort Lewis with 13 points and 7 rebounds as Laura Haugen followed with 11 points and nabbed 7 boards.
