January 8th, 2009.  Colorado Springs, CO. - The No.10 Fort Lewis Women's Basketball team made quick work of the UCCS, dispatching the Mountain lions 92-56 in the 2010 RMAC opener for both teams. The Skyhawks improve to 14-2 overall and 4-1 in the RMAC. 

Fort Lewis jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead before UCCS would go on a run of their own and cut the deficit to 30-15. The Skyhawks would answer with another run to close up the frst half up wth a big lead 41-15. The Skyhawks would hold the Mountain Lions to 14% from the field in the first half.

Fort Lewis would continue ther dominance in the second half and finish off the Mountain Lions 92-56 in the first game played at the new Events Center for both teams.

The Skyhawks were led by Katie Mackey who finished wth 18 points. Abby Jackson tallied 12 points on 4-5 from three point land and Audrey George and Allison Rosel each takced on 10 points apiece.

The Skyhawks will head back to Durango next weekend to take on Colorado Christian and Colorado School of Mines on Jan. 15th & 16th. The Friday night game will tip off at 6pm while the Saturday night game will tip off at 5:30pm.
