Nicole Schumacher comes to Fort Lewis from Lewis Palmer High School in Colorado Springs/Colorado, she also plays for the 92 Colorado Springs Rush club team. Nicole is a very natural defender with a very powerful and athletic quality to her play. She was spotted at the Skyhawk Academy soccer camp this past summer. Nicole stood out as a player who was very keen on learning and being challenged in her day to day training. Nicole was an absolute steal, a player who will really challenge those around her, and we expect her to fight for time as freshman.
Megan Streidel is the last of the 4 players who has signed from Gilbert Arsenal in Phoenix, Arizona, coached by Jeff Perry. Megan is another player that will add an element of athleticism and competitiveness to this program. Megan can play at nearly any position. She brings a tenacious and very tough mindset into every game or session that she is involved in. She is another player that came to the Skyhawk Academy and really excelled and proved that she belonged here at Fort Lewis. Megan played her high school soccer at Red Mountain Highs School, and has many accolades. Her sophomore year she was the Region Player of the year in 2008, and this year finished with 13 goals and 8 assists.
