Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. – No. 3 seed Fort Lewis College earned a 1-0 overtime win Friday night against No. 2 seed Metro State from the Colorado Mines Soccer Field in Golden, Colo.
"I thought we did really well tonight, considering the injuries we had to manage," said Fort Lewis College head women's soccer coach Damian Clarke. "Caroline did great at center mid; we had a lot of players playing in different spots tonight and they responded well. It's a lot of gritty futbol but we're playing good soccer now."

Emma Cannis recorded her team-leading fourth game-winning goal of the season when she found the back of the net at 91:26. Junior
Sam Weiss passed to Cannis who struck from 16 yards out to the lower left corner.
Cannis led both teams with four shots on goal and six overall shot attempts. Seven of the Skyhawks 14 shots landed on frame against the Roadrunners.
The Skyhawks defense allowed Metro State to only one shot on goal with eight total attempts. Sophomore
Caitlyn Espinosa improves her goalkeeping record to 15-3-0 overall and now has 13 shutouts to her credit this year, tying her third-all time in the Skyhawks record book for most career saves.
Fort Lewis (16-4-0), ranked No. 24 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II poll, will play top seed and tournament host Colorado School of Mines. The Orediggers are ranked No. 2 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II poll.
