DURANGO, CO - The Fort Lewis College Softball Team is pushing through the homestretch and toward the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference playoffs. The team got a big lift in their effort after a weekend sweep of Black Hills State University.
Skyhawk Softball (17-20, 15-17 RMAC) defeated the Yellow Jackets (4-28, 3-21 RMAC) soundly over their Saturday and Sunday doubleheaders. Saturday saw the Skyhawks winning both games by double digits, 13-2 and 14-4.
Kaylynn Harmon was the offensive star on Saturday, going 7-8 in the two games.
Myndee Thompson also added a homerun.
Sunday was more of the same, with the Skyhawks winning the games 8-2 and 10-5. The day saw
Mariah Stuart lead the hitting with a 4-7 series.

The sweep brings the Skyhawks' winning streak to five games and brings them into seventh place in the RMAC standings. The top eight teams in the conference will earn a spot in the conference championship tournament. The tournament begins on May 2.
Up next for FLC are their final regular season games against the RMAC's second-ranked team Colorado Christian University on April 27 and 28 in Durango.
