DURANGO, CO - The Fort Lewis College Softball team's 2013 season came to an end in the second round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Championship Tournament at the hands of Adams State. The Grizzlies topped the Skyhawks by a score of 3-0.
Defensively, FLC played fairly well, keeping the game scoreless through four innings. Pitcher
Kassie Haubert had a solid day on the mound for the Skyhawks, allowing only one earned run and notching four strikeouts.
It was the Skyhawk bats that were silent and cost the team another game in the tournament. The team could only manage one hit from
Kamali'i Peneku off of Grizzlies' pitcher Kelsey Sellars, who threw a complete game and had four strikeouts of her own.
Adams State's offense was led by Brittani Richins (2-4) and Erika Ecsedy (2-3). The team had eight hits for the game.
Fort Lewis College Softball finishes the season with a record of 20-24, 17-19 RMAC.
