Junior center
Alex Herrera earned his fourth RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honor this week. He also earned the award on Jan. 6, Dec. 16, and Nov. 11.Â

Herrera has recorded 54 blocks so far this season, and needs 30 more to tie the single-season block record of 84, which he set last year. He is also only 44 blocks away from tying Rich Hillyer's career record of 208 blocked shots.

Herrera leads the league and ranks second nationally in blocked shots per game (4.15) and total blocks (54).

Academic All-RMAC
Sophomore guard
Kevin Flohr was named to the 2013-14 RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll. Flohr has a 3.87 GPA in Business Administration.

Fort Lewis' sweep over New Mexico Highlands and Western New Mexico marked the first time since 1986 the Skyhawks swept both teams on the same road trip.

The Skyhawks set a season high mark in free throws made last weekend at New Mexico Highlands, sinking 32 free throws. They also shot 88.9 percent from the charity stripe (32-36), marking another season high.

Fort Lewis ranks second in the nation and is tops in the conference in three-point field goals percentage. The Skyhawks are hitting three's at a 45.2 percent clip.

The RMAC has four teams ranked in the top 8 of NCAA Division II for points per game. The Skyhawks are 7th in the nation with 91.8 points per game.

Senior guard
Nick Tomsick leads the league in points per game with 21.9, 3-point field goals made (41), 3-point field goals made per game (3.15), total field goals (54) and total points (285).
