Saturday's opponent, Adams State, started the season with four straight wins, but are currently on a five game losing skid.  The Skyhawks defeated the Grizzlies in their first meeting of the season on Dec. 14, 56-44.  Fort Lewis owns a 25-7 record against ASU when playing in Whalen Gymnasium.
 
Fort Lewis is in a three-way tie for fourth place in the conference standings.  Their 7-6 record is also tied with Colorado Christian and Regis.
 
The Skyhawks lead the league in blocked shots per game (4.1) and free throw percentage (75.1 percent).  The Skyhawks are out-scoring their opponents by 3.4 points per game and they hold a 3.5 rebounding margin.
 
Erika Richards is ranked in several categories in the Skyhawks career record books, including scoring (8th, 1,115 points), free throws (9th, 208), 3-point field goals (8th, 129), and made field goals (11th, 389).
 
Ashley Kuchar has netted 1,025 career points, ranking her 12th in the record books.  She is also ranked 11th in steals (165), 12th in blocked shots (50), fourth in 3-point field goals (177), 8th in assists (291) and 16th in made field goals (360).
 
In just two seasons with the program, Mary Brinton ranks 15th in Skyhawks career record books with 43 blocked shots.
 
Six Skyhawk women's basketball student-athletes were named to the 2013-14 RMAC All-Academic Team. Senior guard Ashley Kuchar was voted the Women's Basketball Academic Player of the Year. Earning Honor Roll accolades are Erika Richards, Christie Groh, Mary Brinton, Kylie Santos and Megan Prins. 
 
Mary Brinton recorded a career high six blocks against Regis University on Jan. 17, just one block shy of tying the school record of seven.  Brinton, who earned the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week award after her performances against Regis and Metro State, ranks second in the conference in blocked shots per game (1.76).  As a team, the Skyhawks lead the RMAC in blocked shots, recording 4.1 per game.
 
Ashley Kuchar and Erika Richards each joined the 1,000th point club in January 2014.  They became the 12th and 13th Skyhawks to score at least 1,000 points.
