Skyhawk Notes
One night after posting their worst shooting performance of the season (27.6%, 16-58) against Western New Mexico, the Skyhawks rebounded to post their best shooting percentage of the season (59.7%, 37-62) against New Mexico Highlands.

Saturday's 108 points against the Cowgirls marked the fifth most points scored in school history, and the most points scored by an RMAC team this season.

In 20 games this season, Fort Lewis has held their opponent under 40 percent shooting from the floor in 12 games. Â The Skyhawks have won 11 of those 12 games, with the one loss coming at Colorado Christian by one point. On the flip side, when the Skyhawks' opponents shoot over 40 percent, FLC is 2-6.

With two home wins from the past weekend, the Skyhawks jumped up from fifth place in the league standings to third place. Â FLC holds a half game lead over Regis, Black Hills State and Metro State, and are three games behind second place CSU-Pueblo.

Ashely Kuchar was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week. Â Kuchar recorded back-to-back nights of career highs in scoring, including a career high 13 rebounds Friday against Western New Mexico. Â She tallied a career high 25 points against the Mustangs, and then followed that performance with 28 points on Saturday in a 30-point win over New Mexico Highlands. Â Against WNMU, Kuchar made 12-of-12 free throws, which is the second time this season Kuchar has made 12-of-12 from the line.

The Skyhawks lead the league in blocked shots per game (3.8) and free throw percentage (76.1 percent). Â The Skyhawks are out-scoring their opponents by 5.3 points per game and they hold a 4.3 rebounding margin.

Erika Richards is ranked in several categories in the Skyhawks career record books, including scoring (8th, 1,159 points), free throws (9th, 233), 3-point field goals (8th, 130), and made field goals (10th, 398).

Ashley Kuchar has netted 1,089 career points, ranking her 9th in the record books. Â She is also ranked 11th in steals (170), 12th in blocked shots (51), fourth in 3-point field goals (185), 7th in assists (301) and 12th in made field goals (379).
