Skyhawk Notes

The Skyhawks are 3-0 to start the 2014 season, marking their best start in school history.
Saturday's opponent - Mercy College - will mark the first meeting between the two teams.  Located in Dobbs Ferry, NY, Mercy is 1-3 on the season and have lost their last three games.  MC will face Regis  on Thursday before meeting the Skyhawks on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Regis University.
Fort Lewis will return to Durango for a home match against Rockhurst University of Monday, March 17 at 3 p.m.  Rockhurst lost their only game of the season, 15-14, to Midland College.  RU will face Adams State on Sunday before making the trek to Durango.
The Skyhawks have out-scored their opponents 53-26, an average of 9 goals per game.  FLC has picked up 91 ground balls compared to their opponents 66, and have won 30 of 55 draw controls.
The Skyhawks have received back-to-back Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.  After Ally Kvidera earned the inaugural RMAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week award on February 27, Ellie Carpenter followed with the same award on March 6 after her performance against Shorter University. 
Fort Lewis leads the league in goals per game (17.67), points per game (27.00),  assists per game (9.33), and player-up goals per game (2.00).
Senior Ally Kvidera is second in the league in points per game (5.33) and assists per game (2.00),  and she ranks fifth in the RMAC in goals per game (3.33).
Goalie Alyssa Spencer is third in the league in goals against average (8.67), fifth in saves percentage, and sixth in saves per game (6.33).
Ellie Carpenter  has won the third most draw controls in the league with 4.00 per game, and has picked up the third most ground balls (4.67 per game).
