The Skyhawks first home games of the season, scheduled for last weekend, were moved to Sunday and Monday at Bloomfield High School in New Mexico due to unplayable field conditions at Aspen Field
Fort Lewis' series at Black Hills State this weekend was also moved to Sunday and Monday due to unplayable field conditions. The Skyhawks went 4-0 last year at Black Hills State.
FLC's run-rule win over Adams State on Sunday, March 2 was the first time in head coach
Kira Zeiter's career that the Skyhawks run-ruled the Grizzlies.
Fort Lewis recorded several season highs against Adams State on March 2, including runs scored (13), runs batted in (13), doubles (4), total bases (23) and walks.
Senior
Chelsea Rodriguez became the all-time homerun leader at Fort Lewis on March 3 against Adams State. Rodriguez has tallied 34 career homers, breaking Jenna Peters record of 33.
Mariah Stuart leads the league in fielding percentage. She has a 100% fielding mark with 142 putouts and one assist.
Fort Lewis is 5-0 when leading their opponent after the second inning, and 7-0 when leading after the third innings.
The Skyhawks were picked seventh in the RMAC preseason coaches poll. Senior third baseman
Chelsea Rodriguez, last year's RMAC Academic Player of the Year, was also named to the RMAC preseason team.
Fort Lewis is fourth in the league in batting average (.308), 11th in fielding percentage (.928), and ninth in pitching (5.41 earned run average).
