Skyhawks Lacrosse Weekly Game Notes - April 16, 2014

Skyhawk Notes

Fort Lewis defeated their first ever ranked opponent last Saturday with a 6-4 win over No. 11 Rollins College at Regis' Lacrosse Field.  The first and last time the two teams met was in 2010 when RC defeated the Skyhawks 20-3.  FLC lost a 10-6 decision the following day to the Rangers.

Saturday's opponent, Adams State University, is slated as a non-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game.  The Skyhawks are 7-0 all-time against the Grizzlies.  The Skyhawks defeated ASU 19-9 on March 1 in their first league game of the season. 

Fort Lewis enters Saturday's match third place in the conference standings.  The Skyhawks finish the conference season 3-2 in league games.

The Skyhawks lead the league and rank 17th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 8.54 goals per game.

Ally Kvidera leads the Skyhawks in points (33), assists (13), and shots (44).  Her sister, Abby, has a team high three man-up goals and shots on goal (32).  Sophomore Ellie Carpenter has scored a team-most 21 goals to go with her team high 44 draw controls and free position goals (6).
