Four Skyhawks Record Hat Tricks in 18-8 Win over Adams State

Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – Four different Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse players recorded a hat trick Saturday afternoon in an 18-8 non-conference win over Adams State University.
 
The win improves the Skyhawks to 8-6 overall while the Grizzlies move to 3-9 on the season.
 
Jam Vertner led the Skyhawks offense with three goals and three assists for six points.  Five of her six shots landed on goal.  Jessica Norby added three goals and an assist for four points.  All six of her shots were on frame.  Kathrun Dunn and Abby Kvidera each accounted for three goals apiece. 
 
Ally Kvidera, Ellie Carpenter and Jessica Norby each scored two goals as seven Skyhawks scored all 18 goals.  Norby added three ground balls and a caused turnover. 
 
Fort Lewis accounted for more shots in the first half than the Grizzlies shot in the game.  The Skyhawks notched 22 shots in the first half and 14 in the second half to outshoot ASU, 36-17.  The Skyhawks also picked up 21 ground balls to ASU's 15.
 
The Skyhawks will play their final game of the regular season next Saturday, April 26th, at home against Colorado College.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
