2014 Skyhawks Women's Lacrosse Weekly Game Notes - April 28, 2014Skyhawk NotesFort Lewis is the No. 2 seed in the inaugural Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's lacrosse tournament. The tournament will consist of the four Colorado institutions, and will be played at Regis University May 2-3. The Rangers are the No. 1 seed. The Skyhawks will face No. 3 seed Colorado Mesa at 12 p.m. on Friday, May 2. The winner between the Skyhawks and Mavericks will play the winner between Regis and No. 4 seed Adams State University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Fort Lewis defeated Colorado College for the first time in school history. The Skyhawks earned an 8-4 win at home over the Tigers on Senior Day this past Saturday, snapping a six game losing streak against CC.
The Skyhawks nine wins this season are the most in program history (previous high was seven).
Fort Lewis leads the league and ranks 28th in NCAA Division II in ground balls per game (21.20). FLC is third in the league in scoring defense (8.20) and win percentage (.600).
Alyssa Spencer has the most saves (119) in the RMAC and the second highest save percentage (.494) and saves per game (7.93).
Ellie Carpenter has won 4.27 draw controls per game, marking the second most in the league. Carpenter leads the team in points (37), goals (24), and is tied for the most assists (13).
Amanda Cawker has scooped up the most ground balls on the team (36), and has also caused 16 turnovers.
