The Skyhawks played host to Dixie State this past Tuesday in non-conference action. The Red Storm entered the day with only eight losses and swept the Skyhawks 11-2 and 7-2.
The Skyhawks will travel to Metro State this Saturday and Sunday for a four game home series. The Roadrunners are third in the league standings with three weekends remaining. Metro State leads the conference in batting average (.353), doubles per game (2.33), earned run average (3.97) and scoring (7.67 runs per game).
Metro State is coming off back-to-back weekends of posting three wins in four games. The Roadrunners have won eight of their last 12 contests.
The Skyhawks enter the weekend in sixth place in the conference standings with a 17-11 mark.
