About the Skyhawks
One night after scoring a season low 49 points, the Skyhawks netted 80 points on Saturday against Colorado School of Mines in a 17-point win.  The 80 points are the second most points FLC has scored this season.  They also attempted the second most three-point field goal attempts (19).
 
Fort Lewis had its best performance of the season at the free throw line.  On Saturday against the Orediggers, the Skyhawks made 26-of-29 free throws for a season high 89.7 percent.  On Friday, the Skyhawks made 18-of-21 free throws for the second best shooting mark of the season (85.7 percent).
 
Friday's home setback to Colorado Christian marked several season lows for the Skyhawks in points (49), field goals made (15), field goals attempted (45),  turnovers (28), and three-point field goals attempted (7).
 
Senior forward Kaile Magazzeni pulled down a career high 14 rebounds Saturday night against the Orediggers.  Her previous career high was 12.  Kate Bayes' five assists against CSM was a career high, besting her previous mark by one.  Skylyn Webb recorded her first career double-double on Saturday with 12 points and a career high 11 rebounds.
 
Seven Fort Lewis College women's basketball student-athletes were named to the 2014-15 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.  Kate Bayes, Skylyn Webb, Kylie Santos and Mary Brinton were voted to the all-academic first team, while Ande Lampert, Meagan Prins, and Kelsey Wainright were named to the Honor Roll.
 
The Skyhawks have one of the best defenses in the conference allowing only 59.8 points per game, the fourth fewest points allowed by any team in the RMAC. Fort Lewis is also second in the RMAC for defensive field goal percentage, holding opponents to 34.9 percent. The Skyhawks rank second in steals (183) and third in blocked shots (67 total).
 
Fort Lewis has two student-athletes ranked in the top 20 for rebounding with Kaile Magazzeni 11th overall (6.2 rebounds per game) and Mary Brinton placing 14th (6.1) in the RMAC. Magazzeni is fifth in the RMAC with a total of 26 blocked shots. Kate Bayes is second in the RMAC in steals with a 2.5 average. Brinton ranks second the RMAC in field goal percentage, knocking down 54.5 percent of her shots, and seventh overall in scoring (13.6 points per game).
 
The Skyhawks are returning nine letterwinners from last year's team, two of which are starters (Erin Curry and Kaile Magazzeni).  Fort Lewis finished the 2013-14 season 16-11 overall and 13-9 in the RMAC (third place).
 
Since adding the program in 1979-80, Fort Lewis is 495-449 all-time (heading into the 2014-15 season).
 
About the Grizzlies
The Grizzlies enter Saturday's game on a four game losing streak.  They are currently in 14th place in the conference with a 2-11 league record (2-15 overall).  Both of ASU's wins have come at home against Western State Colorado University and New Mexico Highlands University.
 
Adams State is 14th in the conference for scoring offense (55.5 ppg) and 13th for scoring defense (72.3 ppg).  They are being out-scored by an average of 16.8 points per game. The Grizzlies are first in the RMAC for steals and turnover margin. Adams State is fourth in the conference for offensive rebounds pulling down 12.8 offensive rebounds per game.
 
Adams State is led by leading scorer Desiree Anderson who is averaging 13 points per game.  Anderson averages 1.6 made three pointers per game.
 
All-Time Series vs. Adams State
The Skyhawks are 45-23 all-time against Adams State.  The series is tied at 16-16 when playing on the Grizzlies home court. The Skyhawks have an eight game win streak over the Grizzlies and have won 15 of the past 16 games.
