National PollKANSAS CITY, Mo. – October 6, 2015 – Two home shutout wins this past weekend propelled the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team to a national ranking of 15 in today's National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
The Skyhawks, who entered last weekend unranked, posted a 1-0 win on Friday over Western State Colorado University, followed by a 1-0 overtime win over then ranked No. 21 University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Sunday.
The Skyhawks sit on top of the league standings with 15 points (5-1-0). They are 7-2-1 overall and on a four game winning streak.
Fort Lewis will play three road games this week, beginning Wednesday at Adams State, Friday at No. 23 Colorado Mines, and Sunday at Colorado Christian.
