Live StatsTwo home shutout wins this past weekend propelled the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team to a national ranking of No. 15 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
The Skyhawks, who entered last weekend unranked, posted a 1-0 win on Friday over Western State Colorado University, followed by a 1-0 overtime win over then ranked No. 21 University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Sunday.
The Skyhawks sit on top of the league standings with 15 points (5-1-0). They are 7-2-1 overall and are on a four game winning streak.

Caitlyn Espinosa was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season.
Espinosa came up with a pair of shutouts over the weekend, propelling the Skyhawks to a couple of wins. The senior made 21 saves over the two games, facing 33 shots. On Friday, in a 1-0 win of Western State, she made 12 saves. She followed that impressive performance with another nine saves in an overtime win over No. 21 UCCS.
Espinosa has played every minute in goal this season for the Skyhawks. She leads the league with an .899 saves percentage (62 saves, seven goals allowed), saves per game (6.20), and she is second in goals against average (.680) and shutouts (two).
After playing four straight games at home, the Skyhawks will play three games this week on the road. FLC will travel to Adams State University Wednesday for a 3 p.m. match, followed by a 7:30 p.m. match at Colorado Mines on Friday, and a 1:30 p.m. match at Colorado Christian in Lakewood.
The Skyhawks are 19-2-3 all-time against Adams State, and 9-2-1 when facing the Grizzlies on their home turf. Before last year's 0-0 double overtime tie on Oct. 1, 2014, the Skyhawks had won 18 straight games over ASU. In their last 19 matches, FLC has shutout the Grizzlies 12 times and have only allowed eight total goals.
Friday's match against Colorado Mines will be the Skyhawks third nationally ranked opponent this season. CSM enters the game ranked No. 23 in this week's NSCAA poll.
Fort Lewis will be searching for their first ever win against the Orediggers when playing at CSM. Colorado Mines holds the all-time series lead, 10-6-1, and 6-0-0 against FLC on their home turf. The last time FLC defeated the Orediggers was Sept. 16, 2012 at Fort Lewis (W, 1-0 overtime).
Sunday's opponent is Colorado Christian. FLC is 24-12-2 all-time against the Cougars and 12-7-0 when facing CCU on their home field. The Skyhawks have won 19 straight games against the Cougars and have shutout CCU in the last four games. In the past 19 meetings, FLC has held CCU scoreless 12 times and has only allowed nine goals.
The Skyhawks are fourth in the league in points (33), goals (13), assists (7), and second in goals allowed (7), and goals against average (0.68).
