DURANGO, Colo. – November 18, 2015 – All 13 Fort Lewis College women's basketball players that competed against Northern New Mexico College Wednesday night scored at least one point as the Skyhawks rolled to a 103-54 exhibition win at Whalen Gymnasium.
Six players scored in double figures with
Astrea Reed,
Simone Ruedin and
Alyssa Yocky leading the team with 13 points each. Reed netted 5 of 7 field goals and made both three-point field goal attempts as part of her 13 points. She also added three steals and two assists. Ruedin came off the bench net hit 6 of 7 field goals and Yocky netted 5 of 10 field goals off the bench.
Mary Rambo sank 6 of 9 from the floor for 12 points while
Victoria Trowbridge and
Emily McCue both came off the bench to net 10 points each. McCue was one rebound shy of a double-double and she dished out a game high seven assists.
FLC's bench outscored NNMC, 63-21.
The Skyhawks were solid from the floor, netting 42 of 74 field goals for 56.8 percent and 46.2 percent from long range (6 of 13). FLC out-rebounded the Eagles by 29 boards, 57-28. Twenty of the Skyhawks rebounds came on the offensive glass.
The Eagles Demetria Clichee led all scorers with 18 points.
FLC will travel to Lubbock, Texas to face Texas-Permian Basin and Lubbock Christian University on Nov. 20-21.
