The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team enters the New Year on a four game winning streak.  They own a league best 9-1 overall record and a 4-1 league record.  The Skyhawks 9-1 record is the best in program history entering the holiday break.

FLC will ring in the New Year at home on Jan. 1 against UCCS at 2 p.m., and on Jan. 2 against MSU Denver at 7:30 p.m.  The Skyhawks are undefeated at home this season with a 5-0 record.

FLC, UCCS and MSUD are all tied with a 4-1 RMAC record.  Only New Mexico Highlands University has a better league record (5-0).

The Skyhawks finished the 2015 year with two road wins against Colorado State-Pueblo (87-76) and Western State (85-75).  The 87 points at CSUP were the third most scored this season, and the 85 points are the fifth most.  The Skyhawks recorded a season high at CSUP in free throws made (28).  At WSCU, FLC posted season highs in field goal percentage (.521, 25-48) and free throw attempts (36).

Fort Lewis leads the league in scoring margin by outscoring their opponents by 8.8 points per game.  Conversely, MSU Denver leads the league in scoring defense, holding their opponents to 71.3 points per game, 8.8 points fewer than the Skyhawks average of 80.1 points per game.

UCCS (7-5 overall) has won four straight games and six of their last seven.  They lead the RMAC in field goal percentage (49.5 percent), rebound margin (7.2), assists (198), and rebounds (466).

FLC has used the same five starters through the first 10 games of the season: Rasmus Bach, Joshua Blaylock, Austin Haldorson, Cade Kloster and Jared Smith.
