Skyhawks Softball Game Day Notes - March 25, 2015

Fort Lewis heads into this weekend fifth in the RMAC with a conference record of 9-7.

The Skyhawks are coming off a rough weekend at home going 0-4. The first day of the pod play against UCCS and Regis was swept by the visting teams (3-5 vs. UCCS, 5-6 vs. Regis). Fort Lewis came back on Sunday and suffered another two home losses (1-10 vs. Regis, 2-7 vs. UCCS).

The Skyhawks will get their chance to rebound this weekend against Adams State in Alamosa. Fort Lewis will take their show on the road this weekend in a four game series against the Grizzlies who are ranked ninth in the RMAC.

The Grizzlies have an overall record of 10-14 and a RMAC record of 8-10. Adams State is 6-2 in homes games this season. The Skyhawks have an all-time record of 34-91 against the Grizzlies. Adams State holds an all-time record of 44-17 when playing Fort Lewis in Alamosa.

Adams State is led by slugger Erika Ecsedy who is batting .415 this season to go along with one homerun and 18 RBIs. Teammate Erica Haugum leads the team in RBIs with 19 and slugging percentage (.676). The Grizzlies leading pitcher is Kelsey Sellars who has an ERA of 3.45. Rios is tied for fourth in the conference with 29 RBI's. Thompson is tied for second in the league in hits (38), followed by Fundora's 38 (second). Thompson's four triples are tied for first most in the RMAC. Victoria Johnson will take the mound again for Fort Lewis. She has an ERA of 6.93 in 66.2 innings pitched this season to go with 30 strikeouts. Kiley Raica will get the start in the second game of each day. She has posted an ERA of 4.62 this season in 80.1 innings. She has 44 strikeouts.
