Live StatsVideoFort Lewis will be on the road for the third straight weekend. They will open the conference season Friday night at Colorado State-Pueblo and then travel to New Mexico Highlands University on Sunday.
Friday's match at CSU-Pueblo will mark their fourth straight home match. The ThunderWolves open the season playing their first seven games at home.
The ThunderWolves are 2-1 on the season, earning wins against Western Oregon and Texas Woman's before falling to St. Edward's University.
Fort Lewis is 20-14-6 all-time against the Pack. They are 6-0-1 in their last seven meetings. The series is tied at 8-8-4 when both teams play at CSU-Pueblo.
New Mexico Highlands enters the weekend with a 1-2 record. They are under the direction of first year head coach Oscar Mendoza.
Fort Lewis has only dropped four matches to the Cowgirls since 1996. FLC is 28-4-5 against NMHU. When playing at NMHU, FLC leads the series 13-3-3.
Fort Lewis College received six votes in this week's NSCAA national poll.
The Skyhawks are coming off a weekend that featured a 2-1 win Sunday over then-ranked No. 9 Dallas Baptist University. The game was played on a neutral site field in Grand Junction, Colo. The win came two days after the Skyhawks suffered their first setback of the season, 2-0, against Angelo State University.
Brooke Milliet found the back of the net for the first time this season to give the Skyhawks a 1-0 lead over Dallas Baptist.
Courtney Riley's second goal of the season was also her second game-winning goal this year. Her goal against DBU gave the Skyhawks a 2-0 lead before the Patriots scored to get on the scoreboard. Riley's two goals this season and her four points are a team high.
Senior goalkeeper
Caitlyn Espinosa made 10 saves this past weekend and allowed three goals in 180 minutes defending the goal. She recorded a 1.50 goals against average and faced 18 shots.
Renee Terrell led the Skyhawks with four shots in Grand Junction, with two of them landing on target.

Junior midfielder
Jordan Hix was selected to the preseason team.
A native of Albuquerque, Hix was selected to the 2014 All-RMAC Second Team. She saw action in 16 games last season and started 12, notching 31 shots (11 shots on goal).
