NOTES
The Fort Lewis College women's soccer team was held scoreless in both road games last week at Regis University (L, 1-0) and at MSU Denver (L, 1-0). It was the second time the Skyhawks were held scoreless in back-to-back games this season (at Angelo State, 0-0 2OT; at Midwestern State, L, 1-0).
The Skyhawks are one of seven teams tied for second place in the league standing standings with a 2-2-0 record (six points). FLC is 3-4-1 overall.

THIS WEEK
FLC will stay on the road this weekend and travel to University of Colorado Colorado Springs for a 7 p.m. game on Friday at Mountain Lion Stadium. The Skyhawks will then head west to Gunnison to face Western State Colorado University on Sunday at 1 p.m.
THE SERIES
Fort Lewis enters Friday night's game at UCCS with a 14-2-0 all-time series lead over the Mountain Lions. The Skyhawks are a perfect 6-0-0 when playing UCCS on the road, and are currently on a seven game winning streak against the Mountain Lions.
FLC is 2-1-2 against the Mountaineers since Western State started to sponsor women's soccer in 2012. The Skyhawks are 1-0-2 in their last three meetings with WSCU. FLC is 1-1-0 when facing the Mountaineers on their home field.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTIAN LIONS
The Mountain Lions are currently on a three game losing streak. UCCS is 1-6-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, tying them with four teams for ninth place in the league standings. UCCS' lone win came against Black Hills State University.
UCCS is third in the league in saves (52), 10
th in points (20) and goals (seven), and 12
th in shots (78) and goals allowed (52). The Mountain Lions have been outscored 12-0 in their last three games.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
Western State Colorado University is 1-1-1 on their home field this season. The Mountaineers are tied with UCCS in the league standings with a 1-2-0 record (3-4-1 overall). WSCU is 1-4-0 in their last five games.
Through eight games this season, the Mountaineers are second in the RMAC in saves (56), fourth in goals against (seven), fifth in shots (98), seventh in goals (10) and eighth in points (25). WSCU held their first three opponents of the season scoreless.
2015 WRAPUP
The Skyhawks finished the 2015 season with a double overtime 0-0 tie against St. Edward's University in San Angelo, Texas in the NCAA Women's Soccer South Central Region First Round game. SEU advanced to the second round on penalty kicks. Last year's NCAA tournament berth was the sixth time in program history FLC competed in the NCAA post-season.

PRESEAON HONORS
After finishing second overall in the 2015 regular season standings, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team is picked to finish second in the 2016 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Skyhawks earned 128 points behind the league favorite Colorado School of Mines. FLC also received votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America preseason poll. The Skyhawks finished the 2015 season second in the league with an 8-2-1 league record (12-5-4).
PROVEN COACH
Head coach
Jimmy Hall is in his third year leading the Skyhawks women's soccer program. In only his second year as head coach, Hall was named the RMAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year. In three years, Hall has notched an overall record of 18-13-9 and a league mark of 15-7-5. Hall returned to his alma mater as assistant women's soccer coach in 2011 and is in his sixth year with the women's program. The former Skyhawk soccer standout has deep roots in the Durango soccer community and coaching experience at the collegiate, high school and club levels.
ON THE AIR
The legendary voice of the Skyhawks, John Mahoney, returns for his 12
th season calling Skyhawks soccer games on the air. Mahoney will be reunited with Phil Duke who is returning after a seven year hiatus. Mahoney and Duke will call all Skyhawks men's and women's soccer home games. LOOKING AHEAD
After playing four games away from Dirks Field, the Skyhawks will host Black Hills State University on Friday, Oct. 7 in their only game of the week.
