Skyhawks Return Home for Four Game Homestand

UPCOMING GAMES
After playing four games on the road, the Fort Lewis College women's basketball team will return home to start a four game homestand this Friday and Saturday.  The Skyhawks will play host to Black Hills State University on Friday, and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology on Saturday. Both games will tip-off from Whalen Gymnasium at 5:30 p.m.
 
NOTES
FLC is fourth in the league standings with a 7-3 conference record and a 12-3 overall record.
 
The Skyhawks seven game winning streak was snapped Saturday night at UCCS.  FLC opened the weekend with a 69-59 win at MSU Denver, but fell to the Mountain Lions the following night, 75-71.
 
The last time FLC had at least a six game winning streak was during the 2012-13 season (Dec. 17, 2012 – Jan. 18, 2013).
 
Briana Clah ranks fourth among all RMAC players in scoring. Clah is averaging 15.1 points per game.  Her 88.2 shooting percentage from the charity stripe is the second best in the league (75-of-85).  She has also netted 29 three-point field goals, the eighth most amongst any RMAC player.
 
Ande Lampert has blocked 25 shots in 15 games, the second most blocked shots of any RMAC player.
 
Alyssa Yocky has grabbed the second most rebounds in the league.  She is averaging 9.1 rebounds per game.  Yocky recorded her fourth double-double of the season on Saturday at MSU Denver with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Fort Lewis owns the best mark in the conference in blocked shots (4.7), defensive rebounds (31.7 per game), field goal defense (32.8 percent), and three-point field goal percentage (24.7 percent).
 
The Skyhawks have the third best scoring margin in the league (9.1 points), scoring 66.3 points per game and allowing 55.2 points.  The 57.2 points allowed are the third fewest in the league.
 
SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
The Yellow Jackets, who had the third best record in the league last season (17-5), enter this weekend tied for 10th place in the league standings with a 4-6 record (4-10 overall).
 
BHSU is coming off an overtime loss against Colorado State-Pueblo.  The ThunderWolves are currently undefeated and ranked No. 10 in Division II with a 15-0 record (9-0 RMAC).
 
Rachel Erickson leads the team in scoring with 8.7 points per game. 
 
SCOUTING THE HARDROCKERS
South Dakota School of Mines is tied with Black Hills State University in the league with a 4-6 record (6-9 overall).  The Hardrockers have won three of their last four games.
 
Megan Rohrer is the lone Hardrocker that has started all 15 games.  Rohrer is averaging 9.7 points per game.  Anna Haugen leads the team in rebounding with 6.3 rebounds per game.
 
South Dakota Mines is outscoring their opponents by an average of 2.6 points per game (65.7-63.1).

FLC will remain home Jan. 20-21 against Regis University and Chadron State College.
