No. 20 Skyhawks Travel to Front Range for Two RMAC Games

UPCOMING GAMES
Fort Lewis College will continue their four game road swing this Friday and Saturday at MSU Denver and University of Colorado Colorado Springs.  Friday's game will air on Comcast Entertainment Television and will tip off at 7 p.m.  Saturday's game at UCCS will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
 
NOTES
The Skyhawks are 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. 

After an 84-59 win at Chadron State College on Friday, the Skyhawks 12-game winning streak was snapped Saturday night at Regis University, 78-76.
  
FLC dropped three spots to No. 20 in this week's National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II poll.  This is the 18th consecutive week the Skyhawks have been ranked in the top 25 of the NABC poll.
 
Fort Lewis leads the RMAC in scoring offense (94.1 points per game), scoring margin (18.6), field goal percentage (52.8 percent), free throws made (279), three-point field goal percentage (46.5 percent), assists (18.8 per game), defensive rebounds (28.0 per game) and made three-pointers (10.8 per game).
 
Junior guard Rasmus Bach leads all RMAC players in scoring with 20.0 points per game.  He needs 21 points to reach the 1,000 point milestone. 
 
Senior guard Joshua Blaylock is the third highest scorer in the league with 19.4 points per game.  Blaylock has made the most three-point field goals in the league this season with 49.  He ranks fourth in three-point field goal percent with a 51.0 percent mark (49-of-96).  Teammate Daniel Hernandez is fifth in three point field goal percentage after sinking 22-of-44 attempts.
 
Senior guard Will Morse has a league high 76 assists (5.4 per game) and a 3.6 assist/turnover ratio (76/21).
 
For the third time this season, junior forward Brandon Wilson has been named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. 
 
In a road split this past weekend at Chadron State College and Regis University, Wilson blocked six shots, stole the ball twice and grabbed 16 rebounds (13 defensive rebounds).
 
SCOUTING THE ROADRUNNERS
MSU Denver starts the New Year with a 9-4 overall record and a 5-2 league mark, tying them for fifth in the standings.  The Roadrunners are 5-3 at home and are in the middle of a five game home stand.
 
Three Roadrunners are averaging double digits in scoring with Cameron Williams leading the team with 16.5 points per game.
 
MSU Denver is averaging 74.7 points per game and allowing 69.8 points per game. They lead the RMAC in rebounding margin (7.2), rebounding offense (39.6 per game) and offensive rebounds (15.3 points per game).
 
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAIN LIONS
UCCS is currently in ninth place in the league standings with a 3-4 conference record (4-8 overall).  The Mountain Lions win over Western State on Dec. 30 snapped a four game losing streak.
 
UCCS is 11th in the league in scoring margin.  They are netting 75.3 points per game and giving up 77.7 points.
 
TreShawn Wilford leads the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game.
 
UP NEXT
After four road games, the Skyhawks will return to Whalen Gymnasium Jan. 13-14 to play host to Black Hills State University and South Dakota School of Mines.
