The Fort Lewis women's lacrosse team will play host to No. 17 Regis Rangers this Sunday, March 26 at 12 p.m. The Skyhawks will be looking for their first win against the Rangers in 18 matchups.
NOTES
The Skyhawks split their home games this past week, losing to No. 2 Lindenwood University (L, 4-20) and defeating Oklahoma Baptist University (W, 16-4).
On Thursday,
Ryann Pierce led the Skyhawks attack against Lindenwood with two goals.
Taylor Cabrera led the team with three draw controls.
Sammy Delli, along with Cabrera, led FLC with a hat trick each against Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday. Cabrera also added four draw controls.
Alyssa Spencer stopped 11 shots on goal in the contest.
Fort Lewis is third in the league with 21.6 ground balls per game.
The Skyhawks boast the top two leaders in ground balls collected per game with
Megan Longtain picking up 3.6 per game and
Kelli Warmouth retrieving 3.4 per game.
Daris Wienk is third in the conference with 8.00 saves per game.
SCOUTING THE RANGERS
The No. 17 Rangers are 6-0 on the season (3-0 conference) and are 4-0 on the road. The Rangers are coming off a 19-2 win against Adams State University.
RU is first in the league with points per game (28.33), assists per game (10.67), and goals against average (5.1). The Rangers rank second in the RMAC with goals per game (17.67) and caused turnovers per game (12.17).
Sarah Myers leads the Rangers attack. Myers is tied for first in the league with 30 points, second in the league with 15 assists, and is third on her team with 15 goals scored. Erin Todd leads the team with 19 goals on the season.
UP NEXT
FLC will travel to Grand Junction, Colo. to play against Colorado Mesa University on March 29. FLC will return home April 2 as they play five of their seven games at home in April.
