Skyhawks at Colorado Mesa, Home against Westminster

UPCOMING GAMES
The Fort Lewis women's lacrosse team will travel to Colorado Mesa University on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. match against the Mavericks.  FLC will return home on Sunday, April 2 to play host to Westminster College at 1 p.m.
 
NOTES
The Skyhawks are tied for third in the league standings with a 2-1 record.  FLC is 2-4 overall.
 
FLC's lone game last week was against No. 17 Regis University on Sunday at Ray Dennison Memorial Field.  The Skyhawks lost the non-conference match, 16-8.
 
Fort Lewis is third in the league with 22.0 ground balls per game.
 
The Skyhawks boast two of the top three leaders in ground balls collected per game.  Megan Longtain leads the league with 3.67 per game, and Kelli Warmouth is third after retrieving 3.33 per game.
 
SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS
Colorado Mesa University is on a three-game winning streak.  The Mavericks are 6-2 overall and 2-1 in league games, and have won three of their five home games.
 
CMU ranks in the top half of the conference in several categories, including shot percentage (first, .546), man-up goals (first, 12), assists per game (second, 9.17), goals per game (fourth, 14.83), points per game (fourth, 24.00) and save percentage (fourth (.448).
 
Jessica Cook leads the RMAC in shots per game (6.60).  She is second overall in goals per game (3.4) and third in points per game (4.4).
 
SCOUTING THE GRIFFINS
Westminster College shares a four-way tie with FLC and CMU for third place in RMAC standings (2-1).  WC is 4-2 on the season and own a 2-1 record when playing on the road.
 
The Griffins lead the league in goals per game (17.67) and saves per game (11.33).  WC is second in ground balls per game (22.83) and shots per game (34.67).
 
The Griffins are led by Kira Heiden with 3.67 goals per game, and Moran Bakarich with 2.83 assists per game, both of which lead the RMAC.
 
UP NEXT
FLC will play host to Rockhurst on April 4 and Adams State University on April 7.  Five of the Skyhawks seven regular season games in April are home matches.
