The Fort Lewis softball team returns home on Easter weekend to play University of Colorado Colorado Springs for a four game conference series. Due to the holiday weekend, games will be moved up one day and be played on Friday and Saturday. Friday's doubleheader starts at 12 p.m. while Saturday's will start at 11 a.m.

FLC picked up one win this weekend (4-13, 16-6, 6-7, 6-14) in a four game series against New Mexico Highlands University.

Against the Cowgirls,
Angelique Elemen batted .917 after going 11-for-12 at the plate with nine runs batted in and five runs scored. She tallied two doubles, two homeruns and drew four walks.  She finished the series with a 1.583 slugging percentage and a .938 on-base percentage.  Defensively, she did not commit an error in 12 attempts. Elemen was named the RMAC Player of the Week for her performance at NMHU, becoming the second Skyhawk this season to be named RMAC Player of the Week (
Gianna Melaragno, Feb. 14).

Melaragno added two homeruns and five RBIs for the Skyhawks at NMHU.
Madison Stanich picked up the Skyhawks win in the circle this weekend. Stanich struck out six batters while only surrendering four walks this weekend.

Elemen is second in the league with 45 runs batted in and tied for fouth in the conference with 10 homeruns. She leads the team in batting average (.364), hits (36), total bases (71) and slugging percentage (.717).

Adriana Rosthenhausler leads the team in walks (17), doubles (10), on-base percentage (.458) and assists (78).

As a team, the Skyhawks are batting .282 and have recorded 89 extra base hits. FLC has scored the seventh most runs (187) and RBIs (163) in the league.

UCCS is 9-24 on the season and are ranked 10
th in the RMAC with an 8-20 conference record.

The Mountain Lions are batting .286 on the season while recording 254 hits. UCCS ranks 11
th in the conference with 141 runs.

Melissa Martinek leads the Mountain Lions with 18 RBIs, six homeruns, and a .394 batting average. Whitney Weber leads the team with 40 hits on the season.
