Lacrosse Plays Final Regular Season Home Game

UPCOMING GAMES
The Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse team will play two games in as many days when they travel to Regis University on Saturday and return home on Sunday for a non-conference matchup against Colorado State-Pueblo. Saturday's match starts at 12 p.m. while Sunday's Senior Day game begins at 1 p.m.
 
NOTES
The Skyhawks are third in the league standings with a 6-2 record.  FLC is 6-5 overall.
 
FLC came out with a record setting win this past week against University Colorado Colorado Springs posting a 19-0 shutout. It was the first shutout in program history.
 
Brooke Galle, Taylor Cabrera, and Ryann Pierce each recorded a hat trick. Galle and Cabrera each added an assist to their hat trick while Pierce collected two draw controls to add to her hat trick. Alyssa Spencer added five saves in the win.
 
Megan Longtain leads the RMAC with 3.55 ground balls collected per game and is fourth in caused turnovers forcing 2.27 turnovers per game. Spencer is fourth in the conference in goals against average (7.98) and saves percentage (.490).
 
Fort Lewis is ranked third in the league collecting 277 ground balls this season. The Skyhawks average 10.73 goals per game and cause 9.54 turnovers per game.
 
SCOUTING THE RANGERS
The No. 15 ranked Rangers are 12-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference games. The Skyhawks dropped an 8-16 game in the first matchup between the two teams.
 
RU is first in the RMAC in goals per game (17.85), assists per game (9.69), and points per game (27.54). Regis is second in the conference, allowing 7.19 goals a game.
 
The Rangers boast four of the top five point scorers in the league. Madeline Gilstrap leads the conference with 68 points with Sarah Myres in second with 58 points. Erin Todd and Ali Vanek each have 51 points to be tied for fourth in the league. Todd leads the team with 42 goals and is tied for second in the RMAC.
 
SCOUTING THE THUNDERWOLVES
The ThunderWolves are seventh in the conference with a 2-5 league record and 3-8 overall record. The Skyhawks earned a 10-9 overtime victory in their first meeting of the season on March 9.
 
CSU-Pueblo is third in the RMAC in caused turnovers per game (12.5) and draw controls per game (15.5). The ThunderWolves average 12.42 goals per game.
 
Leah Neumann averages 2.58 goals per game ranking her eighth in the conference. Neumann is tied for third in the conference averaging 4.33 draw controls per game. Rachael Welzin leads the team in caused turnovers, forcing 1.83 turnovers per game.
 
UP NEXT
FLC will finish up the regular season with a matchup at Adams State on April 28 before staring the RMAC tournament. Friday's season finale will start at 3 p.m.
