Box Score DENVER – April 22, 2017 – Fifteenth-ranked Regis University completed the regular season sweep over the Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse team Saturday afternoon at the Regis Lacrosse Field in Denver. The Skyhawks fell to RU, 16-8.
With the loss, the Skyhawks move to 6-6 on the season and 5-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Rangers remain undefeated in league matches at 7-0, and are 14-1 overall.

Ryann Pierce for the Skyhawks first goal of the game at 15:25.
Taylor Cabrera connected with
Shelby Madden at 9:28 to cut into RU's 6-2. Pierce found the back of the net again on an assist from
Brooke Galle as FLC went into halftime trailing the Rangers, 10-3.
The Skyhawks netted five goals in the second half but were outscored by the Rangers, 6-5.
Fry tallied a free position goal at 22:55 before
Brooke Galle added her first of two goals in the half. After assisting on Galle's goal, Cabrera scored the Skyhawks sixth goal of the game and their second free position goal at 13:55. Galle and
Delaney Benson finished the goal scoring for FLC on unassisted goals.
Thirteen of FLC's 21 shots came in the second half. The Skyhawks grabbed 25 ground balls, three more than the Rangers, but RU won 19 of 26 draw controls.
Pierce led FLC with five shot attempts. Galle and goalkeeper
Alyssa Spencer picked up a team high six ground balls each. Galle and Longtain each caused four turnovers as FLC finished the game with 12 caused turnovers.
Spencer made nine saves in goal.
The Skyhawks will play their final home game of the season on Sunday, April 23 against Colorado State-Pueblo. The game will be Senior Day for five Skyhawks: Fry, Longtain,
Rebecca Miller,
Alyssa Montoya and Spencer.
