Box Score 2 AZTEC, N.M. – April 29, 2017 – Chadron State College held the Fort Lewis College softball team to two runs Saturday afternoon in a doubleheader held at Aztec Tiger Sports Complex in Aztec, N.M. The Skyhawks fell in six innings in game one, 11-2, and in five innings in game two, 14-0.
Angelique Elemen accounted for both of the Skyhawks runs in game two when she hit her 16
th homerun of the season that also scored
Gianna Melaragno in the bottom of the fourth inning. The two run homer cut into the Eagles lead, 7-2.
The Eagles closed the series opener plating two runs in the fifth and sixth innings each while holding FLC scoreless.
Elemen, Melaragno and
Tristen Gilbert accounted for one hit each.
Kelly Decker pitched all six innings, fanning five batters and surrendering 12 hits.
In game two, the Skyhawks were held again to three hits. Melaragno, Elemen and
Tehenia Telliano each recorded one hit.
CSC started the game with nine runs in the first inning off of six hits. The Eagles scored two more runs in the fourth inning and three in the fifth to seal the win.
FLC (6-41, 5-33 RMAC) will close out the regular season Sunday morning with a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. The Skyhawks will recognize their five seniors –

Mandy Owens,
Megan Redd, and
Adriana Rosthenhausler following game two.
