Scouting No. 7 The Pack
CSU Pueblo currently sits in a tie for second in the RMAC standings alongside Sunday's foe, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Boasting a 3-0-1 conference record and 9-2-1 overall record, The Pack currently trails only Colorado School of Mines in the No. 1 spot who remains unbeaten in conference play.

The Pack currently sits No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, the highest ranking of any current RMAC program. The Thunderwolves sit just behind Mercyhurst University in the poll, the lowest ranked program yet to lose a match this season. The Pack ranks second in the RMAC in shots, third in goals, second in goals against, and first in total assists.

CSU Pueblo is currently riding a two-game winning streak after topping South Dakota School of Mines 2-1 and Regis 2-0. The only two losses The Pack have suffered thus far came at the hands of then No. 7 Fort Hays 2-1, and St. Mary's (Texas) 2-1.

Scouting the (RV) Mountain Lions
UCCS owns an 8-1-3 overall record thus far alongside an unbeaten 3-0-1 RMAC slate. Tied for second with CSU Pueblo, the Mountain Lions sit just behind Colorado Mines in conference standings.

The Mountain Lions have broken into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll this week, now receiving votes on the national spotlight. The lone blemish on the UCCS record came at the hands of Northwest Nazarene, a Great Northwest Athletics Conference member from Nampa, Idaho. The Nighthawks escaped the Mountain Lions claws up in Billings, Montana, by a score of 1-0.

Colorado Springs is riding a two-game win streak after back-to-back wins against Regis 3-1 and South Dakota School of Mines 4-1. Prior to the wins, UCCS tied with Colorado Mesa breaking their previous three-game winning streak.

Last Time Out
Fort Lewis hits the road after a tough 1-1 split in their last home stand. The Skyhawks opened the week with a big 2-1 win over Colorado Mesa Friday night, thanks to an electric atmosphere from faculty and staff appreciation night and a huge crowd fueled by The Bank of Colorado's Tailgate Party. Gabriel Legendre landed the opening goal, scoring from the top of the box with an assist from Tomas Duenes. Duenes found the back of the net himself just minutes later, scoring on a header with a cross and assist from Isaac Garro.

In Sunday's matchup the Skyhawks were felled 3-0 by the Westminster (Utah) Griffins. Fort Lewis competed offensively, keeping pace with WC in total shots 14-15 but just 3-6 in shots on goal. Luke Merrill scored a pair of goals for the Griffins in the 11th and 50th minutes, and Jack Cardwell added a third in the 81st minute as well.

Skyhawks Leaders
Scoring his fifth goal of the season on Friday, Legendre stands as the Skyhawks leading scorer. The sophomore has provided a pair of assists to bring his point total to 12, five more then the next Fort Lewis player. Duenes leads Fort Lewis in assists with five after Friday and scored his first goal of the season as well. Evan Kowalski continues to defend the net for the Skyhawks, nabbing 47 saves (0.783%) and allowing 13 goals (1.50 GAA) thus far against 141 shots.

Looking Ahead
Next week Fort Lewis will split its contests at home and on the road. Adams State will return to Durango for a conference rematch on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7:00 p.m. on Dirks Field. Following Wednesday's contest, the Skyhawks will head back on the road for a rematch with Metropolitan State University of Denver in Denver, Colo. The Roadrunners and Skyhawks will square off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14.
