SERIES VS. WESTMINSTER
Saturday's primetime matchup is set to be the 49th meeting of all time between the Skyhawks and Griffins. After cutting the men's basketball program after the 1978-79 season, Westminster reinstated the program in 1999. Fort Lewis leads the series 11-6 since the reinstatement and 28-20 all-time. The Skyhawks met the Griffins twice last season, winning both affairs 67-59 and 77-71.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFINS
Westminster owns a 2-9 overall record through the season with a 1-3 RMAC mark. The Griffins stifled Metropolitan State University of Denver in its first win of the season, felling the Roadrunners 93-65 at home. WC is fresh off of a pair of midweek games featuring a 77-54 win over SAGU American Indian College and a 106-68 exhibition loss to Utah State.

As a team, the Griffins are averaging 71.5 points per game to an opponent's 76.6. Shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from the three-point line, and 68.7 percent at the free-throw line, Westminster ranks 11th in the conference offensively.

Spearheading the starting five for the purple and gold is junior Trey Farrer. The six-foot-nine St. George, Utah native is leading the team in points per game (16.6), rebounds per game (7.5), and total blocks (12). The Griffins tend to keep the ball moving, utilizing eight different players who are averaging double-digit minutes per game.

LAST TIME OUT
The Skyhawks opened its three-game road trip last week with two gritty wins in hostile territory. Fort Lewis opened the week with a win over New Mexico Highlands 83-74. After trailing 34-31 at halftime, the Cowboys forced six lead changes but could not overcome Fort Lewis' high-powered offense in the final minutes. Game two saw Colorado State University Pueblo flip the script on the Skyhawks for the first time this season. The Thunderwolves led by as many as 14 points throughout the night including a 41-28 lead at halftime. The Skyhawks found another gear with just over five minutes remaining in the game, capturing its first lead of the night 57-56. Fort Lewis forced four turnovers in the remaining possessions and sank four key free-throws to walk away victorious 69-65.

LEADING THE SKYHAWKS
Who other than Akuel Kot to continue leading the Skyhawks. The junior guard has finished with 20 or more points in eight games this season and leads the nation averaging 27.8 points per game. JaQuaylon Mays has emerged as a powerful tool for Fort Lewis that can seemingly do it all on the hardwood. The senior transfer from Missouri Western State leads the blue and gold in rebounds per game (4.9), assists (27), and sits tied with Obi Agbim at 15 steals.
