Freshman Kate Gallery was the Skyhawks' second-leading scorer at seven points, followed by sophomore Sadie Misner's six-point night.

The Yellow Jackets scored the first bucket of the game, followed quickly by a layup from junior Kelsey Sorenson to tie it at 2-2 after three minutes of play. BHSU went on to score 12-straight before a layup from Gallery got the Skyhawks to four points. The Yellow Jackets got the final score of the quarter to hold a 16-4 advantage after 10 minutes of play. The Skyhawks were held to a 20 percent clip from the field compared to a 35.3 percent mark for the home team.

Sorenson and graduate student Kaitlyn Bell combined for four points early in the second quarter to close the gap at 18-10, followed by a bucket from Billy to bring it to 20-12 with 7:06 remaining. The Yellow Jackets went on to drain four threes to extend the edge to 34-12 with two minutes remaining in the half. Avery Evans knocked down Fort Lewis' first three off a steal from sophomore Samantha Wattawa, and sophomore Sadie Misner ended the half with two made free throws to make it 38-17 heading into the break.

Fort Lewis was just 1-of-15 from three in the opening half compared to a 6-of-18 three-point mark for BHSU. The Skyhawks were plagued by 13 turnovers in the half but mirrored the Yellow Jackets with four steals.

The Yellow Jackets kicked off the third quarter with a corner three, followed by a driving layup to extend the lead to 26 points. Bell got Fort Lewis on the board out of a media timeout with a layup, and Gallery followed with a turnaround jumper to make it 48-21. The Skyhawks' defense held the Yellow Jackets scoreless for three minutes, but the home squad closed out the quarter on a 9-2 scoring run to carry a 57-25 lead into the final 10 minutes of play.

Seniors got in on the scoring action early in the fourth with back-to-back threes from Tayla Nez and Brooke McGee bringing the score to 59-31. The teams exchanged free throws to follow, including four makes from Misner, to bring the score to 62-38 with five minutes remaining.
