PLAYERS TO WATCH
Voted to repeat its sixth-place finish from last season by fellow conference coaches, the Skyhawks feature three key returning players from last season's RMAC Tournament roster.

Alex Tenorio leads all returning members after starting all 51 games last season for the blue and gold. Tenorio, a sophomore from Albuquerque, New Mexico, posted a .329 batting average across a team-leading 170 at-bats last season. Tenorio provided 10 doubles, nine triples, and four home runs among her 56 total hits while also stealing nine bases.

Fort Lewis also sees the return of Catheryn Rodman, a veteran who started 50 of her 51 games last season for the blue and gold. Rodman finished just a hair behind Tenorio with a .328 batting average but matched her with four total home runs while also supplying a team-leading 24 runs batted in.

Rounding out the three players to watch is Sloan Shotton. Shotton, a senior and native to Norman, Oklahoma, made just 24 appearances for Fort Lewis last season. While seeing limited time on the diamond, Shotton posted a strong, .310 batting average with 18 total hits and nine runs scored. Of her 18 hits, Shotton tallied four doubles, one triple, and two home runs with 11 runs batted in.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITIONS
Texas Permian Basin is first up on the weekend docket for FLC. Last season the Falcons boasted a 21-30 overall record and an 8-22 record in LSC play. Now under the direction of first-season head coach Samantha Mendez, UTPB will look to improve on last season's .291 team batting average and 7.24 team earned run average.

Second up for the Skyhawks are the Mustangs from the host institution Western New Mexico. Last season the Mustangs held a 7-37 overall record with a 4-26 mark in conference games. Western New Mexico held a .268 team batting average alongside an 11.65 team earned run average.

West Texas A&M is the third Lone Star opponent of the weekend for FLC. Last season the Buffaloes held a 29-16 overall record and a 17-13 mark in conference play with an appearance in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. Holding a .331 team batting average and 3.01 earned run average, the Buffaloes fell in the tournament's second round to the University of Texas at Tyler 10-0 in five innings.

The final opponent of the tournament hails from Burnaby, British Columbia, in Simon Fraser. The Red Leafs held an 18-22 overall record with a 9-15 GNAC mark last season. Now under the direction of interim head coach Stacy Fournier, Simon Fraser will look to improve on last year's .320 team batting average and 7.81 team earned run average.
