DURANGO, Colo. – Four Skyhawks from the Fort Lewis men's soccer team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Select Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 10, 2024.

Fifth-year senior forward Gabriel Legendre picked up his second-straight Academic All-District® honor. Legendre is a two-time First-Team Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honoree and carries a 3.64 grade point average while studying Chemistry. On the field, Legendre leads the Skyhawks with nine goals on the year while adding three assists for 21 points.

Also making his second-straight appearance on the Academic All-District® teams is senior midfielder Thomas Kirkham. A two-time honoree in both seasons with the Skyhawks, Kirkham recently picked up his first nod to the First-Team Academic All-RMAC squads this fall. Kirkham has supplied two goals and two assists while maintaining a 3.97 GPA while studying Accounting.

Making his first appearance on the CSC Academic All-District® teams is junior midfielder David Citron. The 2024 RMAC Academic Player of the Year, First-Team Academic All-RMAC, and RMAC Summit Award Winner has been a force on the field, racking up the second-most assists in the south-central region with 10 while also scoring six goals for a team-high 22 points. In the classroom, Citron carries a perfect 4.0 GPA while studying business administration.

Senior defender Jakob Larson rounds out the four Skyhawks selected to the Academic All-District® teams. A two-year Skyhawk, Larson has led the Fort Lewis backline to the sixth-most clean sheets in Division II with ten thus far. Larson has also scored one game-winning goal and added one assist. Off the field, Larson owns a 3.55 GPA in business administration.

Fort Lewis continues its 2024 campaign this Sunday, Nov. 24, with the start of the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Tournament. The sixth-seeded Skyhawks are set to take on third-seeded UCCS in a second-round match up in Colorado Springs, Colo., at Mountain Lion Stadium at 3 p.m.
