AUSTIN, Texas – Fort Lewis men's soccer's David Citron has been selected to the College Sports Communications Academic All-America® First Team, the organization announced Tuesday at noon.

Citron becomes the first, First-Team Academic All-American in program history and the third overall alongside Third-Team selection Yannis Becker (2014) and Second-Team honoree Berekk Blackwell (2011).

A native of Toulouse, France, and Lycée de la Venise Verte graduate, Citron joined the Skyhawks as a sophomore last season after playing his freshman year at NCAA Division I Presbyterian College. The five-foot-eight junior midfielder headlined Fort Lewis' offense this season, scoring seven goals and supplying ten assists for 24 total points, a mark that's good for the third-most points in the RMAC, the fourth-most in the south-central region, and the 38th-most in NCAA Division II. In addition, his ten assists are good for the 13th-most in DII.
