Redemption Tour
While Fort Lewis earned the sixth seed in Super Region 4 for the NCAA DII Men's Soccer National Tournament, its path to North Carolina has been nearly identical to last season. The Skyhawks opened the tournament with a 4-2 victory on the road at UCCS (14-3-4) to down the Mountain Lions in back-to-back years. Last week, Fort Lewis went into Stang Park in Wichita Falls, Texas, and avenged last season's 2-1 loss by shutting out second-seeded Midwestern State (15-3-3) 2-0 on the Mustangs home field. Redemption remains on the line this weekend as the Skyhawks look to settle the score after falling to the ThunderWolves in the RMAC Tournament Championship just three weeks ago.

A Look at Games 1-3
Saturday will mark the fourth time Fort Lewis and CSU Pueblo have played each other in 2024, including the second time in the postseason. In a non-conference contest back on Sep. 26, both sides battled to a 2-2 draw thanks to a pair of second-half penalty goals for each team. Then, on Oct. 20, Fort Lewis went into Pueblo, Colo., and handed the top-ranked ThunderWolves its only conference loss of the season with a 1-0 shutout. Most recently, CSUP edged FLC 2-1 in the RMAC Tournament Championship, beating the Skyhawks in the conference finale for the second time in as many years.

CSU Pueblo in the NCAA Tournament
After doubling down as the RMAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament Champions, CSU Pueblo enjoyed a first-round bye and the right to host any postseason match at home as the region's top overall seed. The ThunderWolves opened the NCAA DII Men's Soccer National Tournament against ninth-seeded No. 14 Western Oregon (14-5-1) and downed the Wolves with a 3-2 victory thanks to a goal from Shjon Andrews in the 86th minute. The Pack advanced to take on fifth-seeded No. 7 Cal State Las Angeles (12-3-6) where the ThunderWolves rolled to a dominating 3-0 clean sheet over the Golden Eagles.

A Trip to the Final Four
On Saturday, the Skyhawks and ThunderWolves will battle for a trip to Matthews, North Carolina, for the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Tournament Final Four from Dec. 12-14.
