PUEBLO, Colo. – Unable to overcome second-round troubles the Fort Lewis men's golf team captured a fifth-place team finish at the Southern Colorado Masters Tuesday afternoon to end its non-conference schedule for the season.

Ronald Kildall III continued his dominance as the junior and Everett, Wash., native captured his second top-10 finish in as many weeks taking a tie for sixth place on a 216 (+3) total. After opening the tournament with a par in round one, Kildall III posted a 75 (+4) in round two before capping the event with a 70 (-1) in his final round.

Fort Lewis, caged by a 302 (+18) team score in round two, improved to a 294 (+10) through the final round but was unable to catch fourth-place Colorado School of Mines who finished one stroke ahead of the Skyhawks with an 886 (+34).

Nicholas Krantz posted the second-highest score (220, +7) donning blue and gold with a 15th-place finish, however, Krantz competed as an unattached individual and could not contribute to the team's overall score. Henry Poston was the next closest Skyhawk in a tie for 21st with a score of 223 (+10) followed by Jackson Rottschafer and Jake Chesler who tied for 30th with 226 (+13) totals.

No. 20-ranked CSU Pueblo dominated the field on its home course, combing for a six-over-par finish as a unit with an 858 team total thanks to back-to-back 287s (+3) after an even-par (284) in round one to secure The Pack's second win of the season.

Xavier Bighaus from No. 6-ranked Colorado Christian, who sat one stroke under par and in a tie for third place heading into the final round, found another gear through the final 18 and posted a tournament-low 66 (-5) to capture the individual title with a two-stroke league carding a 207 (-6) overall.
