Skyhawks men end fall season at Otter Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. – Fort Lewis men's golf team tied for 13th as a team on a total score of 919 (+55) at the Otter Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, ending the fall portion of its 2025-26 season at Bayonet Black Horse over on the West Coast.
 
The Skyhawks added just one extra stroke from Monday's round-two tournament low, shooting a 301 (+13) in the final round en route to a 919 (+55) overall score to tie with Menlo College. The pair finished seven strokes behind California State University Dominguez Hills (919, +48), but beat out Dominican University of California (931, +67) and Westmont College (936, +72).
 
Western Washington University, over 950 miles from home, just shy of the Canadian border, won the event outright. Colorado State University Pueblo took the highest finish among Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, capturing second overall. On the individual leaderboard, it was Western Washington's Conrad Brown who took home individual medalist honors.
 
Traejan Andrews brought home the only top 25 finish among Skyhawks, tying for 23rd with a 223 (+7) overall on the scorecard. Jordan Jennings and Jake Chesler trailed closely behind as a pack, tying for 59th and 71st on a 232 (+16) and 236 (+20), respectively. Benjamin Harding and Chase Rogers weren't far behind, however, as Harding took a tie for 73rd on a 237 (+21) and Rogers a tie for 80th on a 240 (+24).
 
See You in the Spring
With the fall of 2025 now in the books, Fort Lewis will look to return to action in the spring of 2026 at the first of two Spring Break Tournaments hosted by Colorado School of Mines at Verrado Golf Club and Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Ariz., Mar. 23-24.
